Advantages of Mercury Conversion
· Economical
1. No need for a separate afterburner
2. New burner is more fuel efficient
3. No need for ACOs (750 c for 45 min). These
are expensive to run, cause wear and tear, and
dangerous.
4. Reduction in shrinkage because there is no
proximity of coffee to firesources.
5. Reduction of shrinkage because of low inlet
temperature, made possible by improved airflow
6. Higher output per hour (6-7 min with full
batch )
· Safety
1. Pipes made of stainless steel, so they reinforce
your roaster and increase the longevity of the
roaster
2. Less chances of fires due to elimination
of ACO
3. Less chances of fires due to improve air
flows and reduced temperatures
· Efficiency
1. Low emissions
2. Shorter roasting times
3. Decreases wear and tear because we do not
have high temperature reas near the stack
4. The system will not be smoking, because
we use expansion joints instead of slip joints.
· Quality
1. Allows you to set up your curves
2. Greater consistency, because you have
3. Greater uniformity because of better airflow
4. Better taste because of lower temperatures
and shorter roasting times
· Environmentally Friendly
1. Reduces emissions by incorporating new and
efficient burner technology
2. Reduces emissions by roasting at lower temperatures
and faster.
3. Reduces emissions by reducing fuel consumption.
4. Reduces emissions by eliminating the need
for a separate afterburner for the roaster,
although you may still need an afterburner for
cooler exhausts, depending on local code.
Mercury conversion includes a new energy efficient
and low – emissions burner, stainless
steel pipe working and an excellent control
system. The control system is LOGOFILE, our
profile roast control system, which allows you
to develop and maintain curves for each of your
roasts. This system has been keeping coffee
within 1 point on the Agtron scale at our customers’,
and automatically adjusts your roaster for all
variables. Your present roasts will be “converted”
into curves, so you need not worry about any
changes in your coffee when you switch to the
new system.
